Part of the West Kowloon Cultural District, Xiqu Centre is Hong Kong’s prestigious new home for traditional Chinese opera. Designed by Revery Architecture, the building is a fluid and layered space that is navigated by a series of escalators and elevators. Directing visitors from the main open space/ticket booth to their seats within the opera hall or small theatre was a challenge. To do so we incorporated and integrated the signage within the colours of the building but also made them prominent in size and position to direct people to their correct destination.
